We cannot show all the nuances and problems when replacing, this is all individual and it is not always possible to solve them at home. To avoid this, we always recommend that replacements be made at specialized services.
Yer just loosening them should be enough to pull the tops out of the wheel arch, tho you may need to disconnect the steering rack ends as i dont think the will go that low.
In general, the replacement will be similar, the only thing that may be slightly different is the design features of your car. You can find more detailed information in the technical documentation for the repair of your car. AUTODOC
Thank you for your feedback! Regardless of the nature of the damage or wear, it is recommended to replace the shock absorbers in pairs. Stay tuned with us! Best regards, Autodoc team!
Hi, could you please direct me to where I could purchase the shock absorber socket from or? The actual size and profile as can't get a proper look at it in the video. Any help, much appreciated.
Warning.. Make sure to check the torque settings for your car elsewhere as the AUTODOC tutorial for the rear shocks suggests settings TWICE what is required and has lead to snapping components…!! Good tutorials, but dubious torque settings

Really good video. Is it necessary to remove control arms? I’ve seen videos of people just loosening them a little bit
You can find this information in the technical documentation for car repair.

Just curious on what spraying the head of the bolt with wd-40 does?
The mechanic sprays wd-40 on the head for correct and easy key setting.
If these videos are for individuals it should be presented how to manage with it at home garage
Thanks for the clarification, we will take that into account in the next videos.
